Organizer
The races are organized by Limited Liability Company Alpha Baltic Sport in cooperation with the Jurmala City Council.

The arbiter of the race is UCI Commissaire Elita Grašiņa.

Tracks
- Sport distance (130-140 km). Start at 14:20. During the race traffic is stopped in both directions. Race track surface – 100% asphalt concrete. Time limit for performing distance is 4 hours.
- Skandi Motors distance (55- 65 km). Start at 14:25. During the race traffic is stopped in both directions. Race track surface – 100% asphalt concrete. The race has no finishing time limit. Each participant who finishes 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 (till 1000th place) gets guaranteed prize money of 100 EUR.
- Gutta Family distance (14 km). Start at 14:30. Race track surface – 100% asphalt concrete. The race is with no finishing time limit. During the race traffic is stopped in both directions. No age limits. Surprise prizes from sponsors. Children aged up to 12 years are able to participate in 14 km race free of charge.

The race will be held on 19th May, 2012 in Jurmala.
Start/finish zone is at Dzintaru prospekts 1, near the Dzintari Concert Hall.
- 7:00 – Registration and number distribution starts.
- 13:00 – Registration closes.
- 14:00 –Sport distance (130-140 km) start.
- 14:15 –Skandi Motors (55-65 km) distance start.
- 14:30 –Gutta family distance (14 km) start.

Registration on the Race Day
On the race day registration can be made at the start/finish zone in Jurmala, Dzintaru prospects 1, near the Dzintari Concert Hall, in the registration tent starting from 7:00. Registration closes 1.5 hours before the start.

Participation fee
- Registering till 16tht May at website maratoni.lv, sport center City Fitness or at all Fans sports goods stores, children aged up to 12 years are able to participate in 14 km race free of charge

- If a participant does not participate or does not arrive to the race, the entry fee is not refunded.
- If a participant wants to re-register for another distance, the entire distance fee set by the organizers shall be paid.

Starting line
- Participants are called to the starting line according to the results of the previous races
- Participants who have not participated in the previous stage are called to the starting line according in numerical order.
- In the first corridor the places are taken by the participants invited by the event organizers.

Participants start number
- Identification numbers will be distributed to the participants on the race day at the registration point.
- The identification shall be taken no later than 30 min. before the start of a respective distance at the start registration tent.
- During the race the ID number shall be attached to the lower part of the participant’s back (2 numbers) and on the front of the bicycle.
- Participants will also get special time measuring devices (chips).
- All participants shall attach their chips to the place specified by organizers.
- The time measuring device (chip) shall be returned immediately after the finish. They will be detached by qualified experts.
- Penalty for a lost chip is 15 LVL.

General rules
- Bicycle helmets are mandatory.
- NB! Participants who doesn’t attend prize ceremony, doesn’t receive prizes
- All advertising and promotions have to be adjusted with marathon organizers. If advertising isn’t adjusted- penalty- 500 LVL
- The prizes for 100th place winners will be carried out 1 week after preliminary result publication.
- The prize money may be issued in LVL according to the Bank of Latvia set exchange rate
- Participants riding with an unbuckled helmet or without a helmet will be disqualified.
- When receiving the prize money the race participant shall produce the ID document (passport or driving licence).
- When picking up the number tag each participant will be required to sign a confirmation that he or she accepts full liability that he or she is fit enough to complete the selected distance.
- By registering for the race all participants confirm that they do not object to the photos taken during the race being used for marketing and advertising activities.
- The organizers are not responsible for any possible injuries received by the participants during the race.
- Participants who perform unwarranted shortcuts during the race will be disqualified.
- The panel of judges together with the organizers are entitled to settle the issues that are not stipulated in the competition rules.
- The organizers are not responsible for participants not knowing and complying with the competition rules.
- Organizations and teams may receive the invoice and pay by transfer. The invoice shall be paid no later than 3 days before the race.
- The entry fee will not be refunded to the participants who cannot participate in the race.
- Any participant using an unofficial number tag will have their results annulled.
- Doping test may be performed during the competition.
- It is recommended that the participants have the following items on them during the race: a pump, a spare inner tube and a mobile phone.
- During the race the riders are not entitled to affect by their activities other riders and their results.
- Any participant, who believes that he or she has been impeded by some action before crossing the finish line, may submit a petition to the arbiter of the race. The petition must be submitted in writing 15 min after the crossing the finish line along with the fee of 20 LVL/29 EUR paid at the information tent.
