The races are organized by Limited Liability Company SIA Alpha Baltic Sport in cooperation with the Jurmala City Council.

•  40- 50 km race. Start at 11:00. During the race traffic is stopped in both directions. The course is marked in the rough terrain (field, earth and forest paths, water obstacles, and beach). Start / finish zone is at the Dzintari beach. Each participant who finishes 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 (till 1000th place) gets guaranteed prize money of 100 EUR. • Children’s race. Starts at 11:15 at start/finish zone. Registering till 21st August at website maratoni.lv or at all Fans sports goods stores, children aged up to 12 years are able to participate in childrens race free of charge.

The race will be held on 25 August 2013 in Jurmala.

Start/finish zone is at the Dzintari beach.

7:00 – Registration of participants and identification number distribution starts.

09:45 – Registration for children's race closes.

09:30 – Registration for 40- 50 km race closes.

11:15 –  Children’s race starts.

11:00 –  40- 50 km race starts.

16:30 – Awards ceremony.

The deadline of preliminary registration is 21st August, 24:00 o’clock. 

• at www.maratoni.lv using http://ib.swedbank.lv payment form (for Swedbank clients using Internet banking services) or by credit or debit card payment on the Internet (Visa, MasterCard, Visa Electron, Maestro).

• Organizations and teams may get the invoice and pay by transfer, by submitting request by e-mail: sport@alphabaltic.lv. The invoice shall be paid no later than 3 days before the race.

 Registration on the Race Day

• On the race day registration can be made in Jurmala, Dzintaru prospects 1, near the Dzintari Concert Hall, in the registration tent starting from 7:00. Registration closes 1.5 hours before the start.

• Registering till 21st August at website maratoni.lv at all Fans sports goods stores, children aged up to 12 years are able to participate in Childrens race free of charge.

• If a participant does not participate or does not arrive to the race, the entry fee is not refunded.
• If a participant wants to re-register for another distance, the entire distance fee set by the organizers shall be paid.

• Participants are called to the starting line according to the results of the previous race
• Participants who have not participated in the previous stage are called to the starting line according in numerical order.
• In the first corridor the places are taken by the participants invited by the event organizers.

Places by Corridors

• Identification numbers will be distributed to the participants on the race day at the registration point.
• The identification shall be taken no later than 30 min. before the start of a respective distance at the start registration tent.
• During the race the ID number shall be attached to the lower part of the participant’s back (2 numbers) and on the front of the bicycle.
• Participants will also get special time measuring devices (chips).
• The time measuring device (chip) shall be returned immediately after the finish. They will be detached by qualified experts.
• All participants shall attach their chips to the place specified by organizers.
• Penalty for a lost chip is 15 LVL.

•  The number of riders per team is unlimited.
• The minimal amount of riders per team are 4 riders.
  
•  The final ranking is determined according to the results of the 4 best team riders.
• The team may be represented by both men and women.
• The team ranking is not divided by men and women separately.

Children's race

• Bicycle helmets are mandatory.
• NB! Participants who doesn’t attend prize ceremony, doesn’t receive prizes
• All advertising and promotions have to be adjusted with marathon organizers. If advertising isn’t adjusted- penalty- 500 LVL
• The prizes for 100^th place winners will be carried out 1 week after preliminary result publication.
• The prize money may be issued in LVL according to the Bank of Latvia set exchange rate

• Participants riding with an unbuckled helmet or without a helmet will be disqualified.
• When receiving the prize money the race participant shall produce the ID document (passport or driving licence).
• When picking up the number tag each participant will be required to sign a confirmation that he or she accepts full liability that he or she is fit enough to complete the selected distance and will comply with the traffic safety regulations.
• The organizers are not responsible for any possible injuries received by the participants during the race.
• By registering for the race all participants confirm that they do not object to the photos taken during the race being used for marketing and advertising activities.
• Participants who perform unwarranted shortcuts during the race will be disqualified.
• The panel of judges together with the organizers are entitled to settle the issues that are not stipulated in the competition rules.
• The organizers are not responsible for participants not knowing and complying with the competition rules.
• Prize money for 100th places must be taken out till 25th september!
  
• All prizes are given out based on a first published results
  
• Organizations and teams may receive the invoice and pay by transfer. The invoice shall be paid no later than 3 days before the race.
• The entry fee will not be refunded to the participants who cannot participate in the race. 
• The money prize can be carried out by LVL Latvian bank rate
• Any participant using an unofficial number tag will have their results annulled.
• Doping test may be performed during the competition.
• It is recommended that the participants have the following items on them during the race: a pump, a spare inner tube and a mobile phone.
• During the race the riders are not entitled to affect by their activities other riders and their results.
• Any participant, who believes that he or she has been impeded by some action before crossing the finish line, may submit a petition to the arbiter of the race. The petition must be submitted in writing 15 min after the crossing the finish line along with the fee of 20 LVL/29 EUR paid at the information tent.
