• Organizer

    The race is organized by Limited Liability Company SIA Alpha Baltic Sport (address: Stabu iela 19, Riga, LV-1011, ph.+371 67844425) in cooperation with the Jurmala City Council.

    The race will be held under the International Cycling Union (UCI) Cycling Regulations.

  • Race Classification

    The event is entered in the UCI XCMS international calendar

    • 90 km race are open for men and women aged 19 years and over. Riders must hold valid UCI licence which is issued by their national federation
  • Age groups

    Men – born in 1994 and older (MElite)

    Women – born in 1994 and older (WElite)

  • Track

    • Women race

    Start at 10:00.The start / finish line is at the Dzintari beach. During the race traffic is stopped in both directions. The course is marked in the rough terrain (field, earth and forest paths, water obstacles, and beach) according to UCI Rules.  

    The number tags will be distributed in the tent near the Dzintari Concert Hall, at Dzintaru prospects 1, Jurmala.

     

    • Men race

    Start at 10:30.The start / finish line is at the Dzintari beach. During the race traffic is stopped in both directions. The course is marked in the rough terrain (field, earth and forest paths, water obstacles, and beach) according to UCI Rules.

  • UCI points

    • According to the UCI Rules, top 40 men score points from 40 to 1 point and top 20 women score points from 20 to 1 point.
    • 90 km race are open for men and women aged 19 years and over. Riders must hold valid UCI licence which is issued by their national federation

  • Registration

    • The deadline of preliminary registration is 21st August, 24:00.

     

    • The deadline of preliminary registration for participants with UCI licences is 21st August, 12:00 CET.

     

     

    • Organizations and teams may get the invoice and pay by transfer, by submitting request by e-mail: sport@alphabaltic.lv. The invoice shall be paid no later than 3 days before the race.

     

  • Participation fee

    • 90 km race are open for men and women aged 19 years and over. Riders must hold valid UCI licence which is issued by theit national federation

  • Team Managers' Meeting

    The team managers’ meeting will be held on 25 August at 09:00 next to stage at Dzintari beach.


  • Prize ceremony

    • The first 6 riders MElite and first 6 riders WElite shall participate in the awards ceremony at 14:45. The awards ceremony will take place at the Dzintari beach on the stage.

    The total prize money fund: 5070 EUR 

    When receiving the prize money the race participant shall produce the ID document (passport or driving licence).

     

  • Safety regulations

     

    • Riders are obliged to follow instructions of the course signs and police officers.
    • Team cars’ drivers must follow the instructions of police, organizers and the Chief Commissaries
    • Accreditation cards allowing team cars to drive between food points and technical points will be issued at the team managers’ meeting.
    • Organizers are not responsible for any private possessions left unattended

     

  • Technical Assistance and Food Points

     

    • According to Article 4.2.033 of the UCI Rules food is allowed only at 6 official Service Points. 
    • According to the UCI MTB Regulations there will be a neutral technical assistance in every service point.
  • Violations of Competition Rules

    • In the event of violation of the competition rules, the penalty will be imposed according to the UCI Rules.
  • Obligations of the Team Manager

    • To inform the participants about the Rules, schedule and other official documents
    • To follow orders given by organizers or commissaries
    • To cover the costs of damages caused by their team members or other team staffrelated persons to the property of the organizers
  • General Rules

    • According to Article 1.2.081 of the UCI Rules the team managers’ meeting will be held before each stage of the competition.
    • All advertising and promotions have to be adjusted with marathon organizers. If advertising isn’t adjusted- penalty- 500 LVL
    • The prize money may be issued in LVL according to the Bank of Latvia set exchange rate
    • The penalty for a participant using an unofficial number tag: – result annulment.
    • Bicycle helmets are mandatory, participants riding with an unbuckled helmet or without a helmet will be disqualified.
    • Results of the riders will be determined electronically and by a photo-finish.
    • Food and technical assistance is permitted only in official technical assistance zones.
    • Physical contact between food servers / mechanics and riders will be permitted only in the food / technical assistance zone. Water bottles and food may be passed up to the rider by hand. The food server or mechanic is not permitted to run alongside the rider.
    • No rider may turn back on the course to reach a food / technical assistance zone.
    • Authorised technical assistance during the race consists of repairs to or the replacement of any part of the bicycle other than the frame. Bike changes are not permitted and the rider must cross the finish line with the same handlebar number plate that he had at the start.
    • Spare equipment and tools for repairs must be kept in these zones. Repairs and equipment changes can be carried out by the rider himself or with the help of a team-mate or team mechanic. Small items such as an inner tube or a small tool may be obtained from this zone.
    • In additional to technical assistance zones, technical assistance is permitted outside these zones only between riders who are members of the same UCI or national team.
    • Doping test may be performed during the competition.
    • The money prize can be carried out by LVL Latvian bank rate
    • By repeatedly crossing the finish line the rider gets the last crossing time and place.
    • The penalty for crossing the finish line in opposite direction – disqualification.
    • Only the official team representative holding the accreditation card issued by the organizer is entitled to be in the official food point.
    • Technical assistance can be provided in specially designated places.
    • During the race the riders are not entitled to affect by their activities other riders and their results.
    • Any participant, who believes that he or she has been impeded by some action before crossing the finish line, may submit a petition to the arbiter of the race. The petition must be submitted in writing no later than 15 minutes after crossing the finish line along with the fee of 20 LVL.
    • The panel of judges together with the organizers are entitled to settle the issues that are not stipulated in the competition rules.
    • The organizers are not responsible for participants not knowing and complying with the competition rules.
    • By registering for the race all participants confirm that they do not object to the photos taken during the race being used for marketing and advertising activities.
